CHCI is now accepting applications for its 2018 leadership development programs! For nearly 40 years, CHCI has asserted itself as the best in leadership development, forging a critical role to Educate, Empower, and Connect our nation’s future Latino leaders. NEW DEADLINES We’ve changed our application deadlines for all programs to allow students more time to prepare for their D.C. experience. See new deadlines below. Congressional Internship Programs Paid Internships for college students for Spring, Summer and Fall. CHCI is seeking full-time undergraduate students who are interested in participating in the CHCI Congressional Internship Program. Selected individuals will receive an unmatched experience, learning first-hand about our nation’s legislative process while working for a member of Congress and receiving weekly leadership programming from CHCI. Focus Area: All Majors Location: Washington, D.C. Program Dates: Spring: January 2018- May 2018 Summer: June 2018 - August 2018 Fall: August 2018 - December 2018 2018 Congressional Internship Deadlines: Spring: September 29, 2017 Summer: December 1, 2017 Fall: March 9, 2018 Fellowship Programs Programs for College Graduates Public Policy Fellowship Program Recent college graduates who earned their bachelor’s degree within two years of the program start date can take advantage of this paid nine-month fellowship, which opens doors for talented young Latinos interested in a career in public policy. Focus Area: All Majors Location: Washington, D.C. Program Dates: August 2018 - May 2019 Deadline: January 29, 2018 Programs for Master’s Degree Recipients Graduate Fellowship Program Designed for exceptional emerging Latino leaders who want to immerse themselves in a specific public policy area, this paid nine-month fellowship will provides valuable work experience, access to powerful Latino changemakers, and a chance to showcase your public policy knowledge on Capitol Hill. Focus Area May Include: Education, Housing, Health, Law, STEM Location: Washington, D.C.
